reliability and maintenance is great. The only thing I can think of is oil change, fluids and brake pads at regular intervals. And all of which can be done by yourself if you wish to.

I used to live in Denver, and honestly- I don't know if I could have the S for a DD there. Snow is bad there. I guess the brightside is that snow is not year round, and I remember the snow melts and that the streets are cleared out pretty regularly. An S2000 is a lot to commit to, but as someone has pointed out above- it is a very rewarding experience.
This is an important consideration.

If it snows alot you need to obtain SNOW TYRES.

You may also want to consider a hard top as well.

SNOW TYRES are a must tho. You CANNOT run stockers even for 15 minutes in the snow. With the REs on the AP2 you would at least have a chance to pull over on the side of the road. With the S03s and 02s on previous cars, your a dead man.

:-)

Hope i didn't scare you. :-D

I DD'd my car in the summer. It was fantastic.

I really appreciate the insight and help so quickly. I should have mentioned earlier but i forgot (its been a long day) i have a subaru forester that i drive all the time now that i am going to keep for the winters.. so snow isnt really an issue... im in jersey so it snows a good amount but recently with this weather i dont think i have been able to tell the difference between autumn and winter months. I just needed to get an idea of what people thought of it as a daily driver ride wise and other day to day things that people deal with on the road.

4ester98,

I just purchased an 07 Silverstone (we get the 2.0 version still) and its my daily driver. I love it. I can't imagine not driving this car everyday and I'm equally excited every morning I drop the roof. I only drive 10mins to work and live in a climate that's conducive to daily roof down driving but seriously its well worth it.

M3's are okay - dime a dozen - and becoming dated. In my opinion I'd rather have a S2000 as its the best car I've ever driven.

sdannels meant to post this:

Hello!

I have been using my 2000 S2000 for a daily drively for a year and half and am loving each commute. 22 Miles of winding two lane road to the city full of pot holes bups, rail road tracks and tight turns, ect. each way! Requires paying close attention to where its driven but a whole lot of fun! This is a track car for the road! Nothing else quite like it! And can you imagin that is is also a low emissions unit and gets great gas mileage for a car! PS: Very fast!

Good Luck!

It is not just snow tires that I would be worried about. Depending on where you are, the snow can be piled so high until clearance becomes an issue. I had a Ford Bronco when I lived out there, and 4WD and high clearance were a big plus.

DD here too! 30000km in 1,5 years. It's a great DD but you have to take precautions for the snow. Since your looking for the MY07, you have VSA, so that helps. But the BM is also RWD, so same issue here

The car isn't for everyone. You'll get those little nuiances such as:

Not being able to take more than 1 person,
Limited storage space,
Somewhat noisy cruising,
Bumpy ride depending on road conditions,
Creaks and rattles from the top,

but once you get on a road that allows you to drive the car like its suppose to be driven (reving hi, lots of curves, top down posing etc), you easily forget all the little things.
I don't think I could've said it better myself.

I drive my car daily, through winter... I have a 20-minute commute, and I'm glad to have my S to blast around in all the time.

Chaz,

Do you have any recs for good roads in Eastern Mass? Traffic here is a bummer.

Sorry - little off topic.
