17 years ago I bought my first car. A Milano Red Honda del Sol in VTEC trim. Since that day, I have owned three Hondas. All red convertibles. All del Sols.
Last week, I bought my fourth red Honda convertible. Not a del Sol.
I finally found my dream S2000. Absolutely mint. NFR. Formerly a certified pre-owned car. All original keys and window sticker. And enough miles that I don't feel guilty driving it, but not so many that I feel scared doing so.
And a previous owner that is quite possibly more of a Hondapath than even I am. One that laminated every service record in the car's history and kept them in a color-matched three-ring binder in the trunk. The very sight of that binder got my undercarriage excited. Actually.
No crazy plans for it. Full audio system is going in next weekend. PuddyMod diff with 4.77 gears and Ohlins coils down the line. Maybe a front lip and some wheels. Just going to drive it and enjoy it.
