Long time owner new to forum
Hi Folks,
Long time owner, had my S2k for almost 7 years now, I figured it is time to start to get to know all of those folks that wave with a knowing smile as we pass each other. I have owned a lot of cars that were cool, but I have never seen more comraderie amongst owners. I have also never kept a car this long. I still really enjoy driving my S2K. I love the basic no frills design that is clearly driver focused and put performance and function over unnecessary bells and whistles.
I have a 2002 Suzuka Blue, received it with just over 10K on the odometer and just turned past 115K this week (daily driver). Mods include AEM V2 CAI, Hondata Intake Gasket, and J's Racing Oil Pan. It also has a killer Pioneer Stereo upgrade with dual amps and Sub in trunk (First upgrade and biggest complaint about the car). I am on my second top which isn't bad for Florida.
I just dropped the car off today with LHT performance (local honda experts) for a total overhaul and some new goodies. Will end up with new rings, and a compression boost, polish the intake, header, test pipe, new timing chain tensioner, and a new stage 1 clutch (so I can enjoy the new found power. It is also going to the dyno for a tune.
Once I get the car back, time for some body work, it needs a new front bumper and hood thanks to a motorcycle that lost it's kickstand directly in front of me on the highway. Will either do a repaint or may get venturous and try a do it myself vinyl wrap. With the blue interior, and blue convertible top, I am thinking a matte blue or gray will look pretty slick. Still has the AP1 wheels, and I am thinking I might upgrade to V2 wheels, or have mine powder coateded dark gray.
Anyhow I will put up a few pics once I get car back. Really looking to learn and share some advice.
Peace out.
Tom
