Look what I picked up!
My story...
For years I watched my dad stare at the computer screen, searching the web for S2000's. I always thought he was crazy! I thought they were beautiful cars, but I didn't understand why he was so infatuated with them. Well, about three months ago I got a text message from my dad that read "Headed home", and underneath the words was a pic of a silver S2000. Of course I was excited for him, I knew he was finally getting his dream car.
The next weekend I went home to visit my parents for a few days. My dad was excited to show me his new toy, pointing out how beautiful and perfect the condition of the car was to be 12 years old. Then he took me out for a ride, explaining how advanced the motor was considering it was developed over 10 years ago and so on. And then he says "This is where V-tech kicks in" as we hit 6500 rpms. And I remember thinking "Wow, this is fun!!"
Then he let me drive... And I fell in love. His car was soo much fun, I just couldn't get enough. I began to realize why he was so infatuated. That night I began scouring the internet for an S2000 of my own. Everyday I would search ebay, autotrader, local dealerships, and anywhere else I could think of. Then I stumbled across this forum, began reading other people talk about their S2000's, how much they loved them, and how much they hated to sale them in the FS forum, and I became even more determined to find my own...
And three months later... I have a 2006 Rio Yellow with 23K miles, bone stock... She's perfect, just what I wanted!!!

Congrats on a great find! You will enjoy that Rio plenty!!
I know your story well. I got mine before my parents got one. We documented the entire process of my parents purchase HERE including playing a good joke on my mother.
