looking to purchase s2000
Take negcamber's advice!
If you pay $300 a month for insurance you must have a really bad driving record! I pay about $120 a month on an 02 s2000 and an 01 satrun thanks to the "Michigan No Fault Law". No stupid law suits = cheaper insurance!

dont you think i would be able to afford this with just a simple job. right now i work 7 hours a day for 10 bucks an hour i know i can afford it right now... just dont know what kind of job i would be getting once i go back to school this fall.
Insurance, maintenance, tires, interest from your loan, gas, possible vandalism, possible problems with the car...
No. You can't afford it.
Not to mention that if you find out you can afford it ($10/hr? Come on, man) you're going to be working to own your car. Have you ever seen the movie Fight Club?
Might be the car that owns you.

It's going to be hard hanging onto this car once school starts for you. The insurance alone would kill you. Don't be one of those students delivering pizza at night to pay for a car. Stick with the beater you have now and learn to manage your money. Eventually, you'll be financially stable enough to afford it.
what if i pay off insurance this summer and make a bit of money to get ahaed on payments. im looking for a second job.. not just to get a s2k but just for money you know. one of the members earlier mentioned i could pay off insurace. for like 3600 or lower the payments by paying a DP
