M3 to S2K hopeful
Hey everyone,
I'm a NY regular on E46fanatics looking to convert. I've always secretly loved the s2k, so here I am. My main priority right now is to sell my M3 (well, 330ci w/ M3 motor + trans) and hop into an AP2 w/ 80k miles or less. I look forward to learning about these beautiful and functional machines.
And here are some takeaway pics of my current car.

Thanks!

I would if I could, believe me. I'm aiming for gas efficiency + high fun-to-drive factor. MPG in the BMW was pitiful, but it is definitely fun to drive. S2K seems to be the complete package.
Minus the fact that the M serves a much better purpose being driven around as a daily (which I am inferring based on your MPG qualm) but if you can get away from that fact, you will absolutely love the S. I always thought the M series did a great job of being a "drivers car"...........until I spent some time in the S

Good luck my friend, and welcome , there is a wealth of knowledge here.
Where about in NY?
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm on eastern LI.
I was commuting to the city (and at one point, driving there regularly) but have since started working somewhere 1/2 the distance. Its still a 40min commute- so I do need a daily- but I'm young and spunky so I can give up heated seats, lush suspension, and a roof.
Now that I think about it, I've never even driven an s2k...I'm going completely off forums/reviews, recommendations, and Initial D.
