Default Me, Dad, and the S2000

Hello world, I don't really know how to start or where to start but here I Go. I Bought the S2000 about a year ago with my Dad. Long story short; I wanted to buy my first car / project car with my own Money. After looking around I really fell in Love with the S2000. I found one online on Copart. All that was missing was the seats. So I went ahead and bid. I won and after a 2 weeks of waiting, it was finally delivered to the Lot where I was to pick it up.

Online Auction Pics (Est. Feb 14') :

The day we went to pick it up (March 3, 2014):

I bought a pair of ap1 seats which IMO are better looking then the ap2 2006 seats. I learned after that the seat rails did not match, but after a little research and calling, I met a guy who had bought a pair of 2006 seats for his AP1 and he needed the rails I had. I needed his rails, so we met up and did the entire swap and installed the seats. For the first month I drove it cautiously, hearing the horror stories of people losing control. I had the car for exactly one month. I took it out that day to run some paperwork and when I was heading back to the office I was rear ended by a truck. Nothing major but a PITA!

Here are the Pics:

After that, the adjuster came and gave me a price and within the following weeks I received a check. It was time to paint the S, and change the hood.

The Finished Results:

Mods up to this point:
-Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood
-Lowering Springs (Car came with them)
-MSR Rims (Car came with them)
-Ap2 ebay Lip
-Tinted windows (all around)
-K&N Drop in air filer (Came with Car)
-Gladfab strutbar w/ heatshield
-Gladfab Battery cover
-Gladfab Clutch cover

Over the course of this year, I have used the S2KI forum endlessly and I would like to personally thank everyone for all the useful information. My plans were to move up north to work as a firefighter and I was planning to sell the S2000. I purchased a set of Ap2v1 wheels and powder coated them. Ill post pictures up once I mount them. In February of this year 2015, again I took out the S to run some paper work and a car cut me off and hit the driver side fender and light. ( Yes I should've driven more defensively). (Thinking about it now, maybe this was a way of telling me to hold on to the car) Anyways, things at work had been very busy, and I didn't have the time to take the S to repair. On Saturday February 28th at night I took my Dad to the hospital and on Monday Morning which was March 2nd he passed away (Infection in the blood) (He was 50 years old). All of this comes into play because I just found out from his best friend who was visiting the week prior to his death, that my Dad Loved the S and wanted to buy it from me. So with that said Im plan on keeping the S for now. I have enjoyed every bit of this car along with the community. As for future mods, I will for sure post and let everyone know.

Sincerely
Splunkery

Damn man, so sorry to hear about your dad. Too many good people go too soon and too suddenly.

Nice find on the car, and I do hope you'll keep it around a long time.
