little S2Ks are kick ass? Makes them sound "cute". This isn't a miata. You know these things beat EVOs around a track stock to stock, right? They run high 13s out of the box....etc etc.

Yes they are reliable.

MPGs vary. it's stickered at 20/26, but you'd have to drive like an A-hole to get that. I get 24-30+ in my AP1. The AP2 may be a little worse around town...but probably a bit better on the highway. More relaxed crusing RPMs.

I do mostly city and twisties and average about 22mpg. If I'm purely freeway and averaging between 75-85, I get about 27 mpg.

I've been averaging about 275-325 miles per tank. It just depends how heavy my foot is for a given time period.

They get pretty decent mileage. If you get one, you will not regret it. the s2000 is really an amazing car. Take it easy.

it's more reliable than your DSM, but in a straightline it will be lacking, depending on how modded your 4g63 was.

stock for stock the s2k can beat the Evo around cones, on road courses unless it's all tiny twists and turns the Evo has the advantage. i had both cars.

and yeah the ap1 s2k averages 24-26mpg even with frequent vtec. it's win.

That's weird, my ap1 cant even get 20 mpg. I get around 180 - 190 miles on a tank and I'm hardly ever above 6k rpm. Maybe my car smelling like raw fuel every time I take it out has something to do with it?
