it's fully built, turbo and all. It's got about 84K miles. I'm a little skeptical about buying a turbo'd car. Can anyone give me some advice on this?
A turbo car will require a good amount of TLC. Only go that route if you know how to work on it.

When I was shopping recently I missed out on a car that I really wanted. A couple weeks later I found a -much- better car and bought it. Hopefully you'll have similar luck.

For the majority of us, the S changed our lives. It did in my case. I felt very much like you did.

The S is my grandmothers memory. I Graduated from college. Got a job. etc.

Driving it was a huge confidence booster for everything in my life and hitting corners and meeting other owners has been some of the most fun of my life.

The car you want, for the price you can afford is out there, just don't be afraid to travel, and I'm sure any local s2k chapters would be more than happy to go check out a car if you find one out of state.
maybe it's because i'm new to the car game, but i don't feel completely comfortable in traveling unless i had some honest help.

i admit i don't know a lot about turbos, but i can sure as hell learn. plus, my cousin is a honda guru. he's had a bunch of hondas. his last car, my dream, was a 96 ek hatch pushing over 500hp. it was stolen and i'll never forgive him for that. my point is, he can show me the ropes and i'm a good student. how much do i have to worry about about a car with a turbo? the car is tuned very well and has a lot of quality parts. there's nothing rookie about his car.

was that white one the first you drove? maybe that feeling can be had with any 's'
no i've driven a good handful of them. maybe it was the fact that the car was probably babied and taken care of well that drew me to it.

I would say the one who couldn't afford the minimum price was the "undeserving" one lol

If you couldn't scrape up $500 to buy the car then what exactly did you plan to do about registration+inspection fees and insurance?

Trust me dude you got it easy. You'll find another one you'll like even more. Me, I missed out on my dream car, and that's buying a brand new 08 or 09 S2000 GPW CR, I'll never have that opportunity in my life again.

lol why are you being so dramatic? yes it's frustrating to miss the perfect car you had your eyes on but that's part of buying used cars. also if you only have 12,500$ you should be looking at cars $10,000 and under. what are you gonna buy a 12,500$ car and can't even register it cause you can't pay the tax, registration, insurance, and maintenance? and you're talking about buying a porsche now? foolish if you ask me. don't try to live beyond what you can afford, it'll be better for you in the long run.
