Default MOdding a Lease

I'm planning on leasing an S2k, and i'm concerned that if i get bit by the mod bug its going to get uglyyyy . My concern is that i know lease vehicles your not sopose to mod them but i asked the saleperson if an aftermarket alarm would be fine at the end of the lease. He said yes, that as long as it was installed correctly and wouldnt void warranty then yes, then he showed me his car which soposedly is a lease with a full system and aftermarket alarm. He told me that honda's bank isnt that picky when u return the car if it has no warranty voiding mods. I'm taking it with a grain of salt because at the end of the day he is trying to sell me a car. But has anyone else on here had experience with returning a lightly modded s2k to the dealer. What i'll probably do to it is some springs, radio with modifry DCI, and an alarm. Thanks ladies and Gents!

You can always mod it, and then at the end of the lease, spend a few days removing all the mods and replacing in the stock parts, then return the car .

I'm just thinking ahead and I think in 3 years my needs might change. This car is not the most practical. I've driven the car a few times and absolutely love it the way it is. Anyways i have to see how long i'm going to last without modding.lol

I'm in a lease situation as well. Mod the sucker but keep your parts so you can reverse the process if you plan on returning it. Me I plan on keeping it so thus I am firing away!

How does this make you feel....................I TURBOED MY LEASED CAR. I went way over the miles already (don't want to take the risk of turning them back) and I am in love with his car so I am going to buy it. I know it ill cost me more but at the time I chose to lease because I wouldn't think i would want it. Lease is up in a year. Eventually When I get tired of the S I will further modify it to be just a track car, then I will go get a Porsche, or something. The Turbo S2000 with some cooling mods etc.will make an AMAZING TRACK car for the weekends.......

If you plan on tracking and/or doing extensive mods, buy it. If your only looking to gets wheels clean drop and a few bolt ons lease is good, esp if your like me and like to get a new car every 2-3 years and dont put many miles on your weekend car.

As long as you take your parts off before turning the car back in.
