Default more appropriate intro...

hey there,
first intro may have come off less than friendly (first s2k...finding out blown motor...not happy) But, i've found a new motor...and started tearing my car down (slowly, was tearing motor down to see the extent of the motor issues before i found the new motor)

so... slowly over the next week or 2...or 3...or ? i will swap in the f22 (in place of the f20)

on the right side of it not visible is a '69 mach 1 ;-)

p.s. the chevelle build pretty much is done, just needs a windshield, paint, weatherstripping, front seats and reassembly. but until it gets paint...it'll sit.

usually oil doesn't drain out when you tilt your trailer...so this is the moment my new car purchase went to $#it. i had given up on repairing it till i found a good deal on a F22 long block...though it was 4hrs away.

Prepping for surgery

surgery has begun

Diagnosis: Boom!

engine bay empty

And finally where i am now.... getting new motor ready to go in (yeah i need to clean it up, i know) still need a new starter before i progress any further.

Man, thats rough. Did you buy it with a blown motor? Or did it blow shortly after you got it?

Let us know if we can help you with anything.

it's my own dumbass mistake really...i bought it from auction, and i didn't know the motor was blown. there's so much BS under the intake of these things you can't see the block. the rods actually broke off... So, when i looked at it, it turned over a full 360 by hand And it sat to low to see the damage from underneath, from above you couldn't see anything.... it didn't Start but...just clicked like it had a bad starter/solenoid (but one of the rods actually hit the starter aswell) i hadn't a clue, i assumed some simple stuff, new starter and whatnot. i was part right lol.
