Default most you would pay for leftover 08 stock?

found an 08 laguna blue, brand new never titled.
Price: $34,935.00
Special Internet Price: $26,567.00

i still think they can do a lot better than that, thoughts?
car is 2 years old now. the 09's are gone already.
i'd prefer gpw of course but good luck finding one of those
i like the laguna blue , it would have been my 2nd choice anyways.
whats realistic or the goal to shoot for if i decide to go for this?

Agree, that isn't a bad price for a new MY08. For some perspective, attached is link to a member's car, with some minor mods:

I'd vote 'good deal'. I'd still try and get a lower price though...never hurts to ask, and they obviously are struggling to find a buyer.

Stageup:

That car was sitting on the showroom floor next to my red 08 when I purchased mine a few weeks ago. The guy listed on the web was my sales guy and that is about what I paid. Please tell him we connected...I joked that I would introduce myself on this forum and sell his car for him. I didn't accomplish that but he will find the connection interesting. The blue car had +- 350 miles on it and the one I bought had 100 miles. Both are dealer trades (blue may have been traded twice, as I recall). The price quoted is about what I paid for mine (mine had wheel locks and mats). The dealer was failing and was recently sold (my car was the new owner's 1st sale) and the new dealer bought them at a discount hence the low price. My car had a scratch inside the door jamb from a seat belt slamming in the jamb and they took care of it last week. When I had the car professionally detailed, my detailer noted several small scratches on top of the driver's window, most likely from a key lock box. I am waiting to hear back on getting the window replaced and believe they will honor my request. I didn't look that closely at the blue car as I wanted the traditional, in your face red. Just take your time and look over the car closely as it has been at the dealer for over 1 year and I am sure many people have taken the opportunity to sit in it, etc. It's a lot easier to get them to handle any minor items if noted before you leave the lot. Good luck! I am bummed because it is raining and I have the car in the garage. For various reasons, I have only put about 300 miles on my car in +- 3 weeks of ownership and I can't wait to get past the 600 mile break-in period to hear the v-tech kick in. PM me if you have any questions about the sales experience.

One more thing. In my opinion, the price they have quoted is excellent. As of mid-November, I had 8 new 08 & 09 cars identified between San Diego and Norcal based on an internet search as well as a dealer search by my local Honda dealer. Other than black, I located 8 cars. After contacting the dealers, I narrowed the search down to 4 cars (the blue and red at the dealer you are referring to), an 09 silver w/red/black in Loma Linda (dealer quoted me $31,997 + T&L) and an 09 yellow car with lips (F&R) and spats in the SF bay area (this last car was on eBay and now it is not so it may have been sold). Also, I located a yellow 08 CR at a sister dealer of my local dealer. She was unsure if it was new, a demo, or? but since I didn't want a CR, I did not have her pursue it. BTW, the reason the other 4 cars were eliminated from my search was that they did not exist (one is still on the web, though) or they were well used demos, etc.. I was also considering a used 07 or 08 but, at the time, they either had too many miles, were a color I personally did not care for, or had a body and/or frame repair listed on Carfax.

I had wanted an S2K since it came out in 2000 but buying one was an irresponsible thing for me to do, personally (it is a pleasure car for me and not a daily driver). However, I couldn't eliminate the desire and when I brought up the subject to my spouse, she told me to go for it as I work hard (I do) and I deserved it. So, for the price of a nice Honda Accord, you have the chance to get a new purpose built, mid engine sports car. After owning one for a few weeks and doing more research on the car, I now realize that the car is everything I expected it to be and more. My friend has a 997 turbo with minor engine mods (600+HP now) and he was taken back at how nice the car was as compared to his previous impression of the car. In fact, he emailed me yesterday asking if I had hit 600 miles as he really wants to drive the car and hear the vtec. BTW, dealer cost on the car, including transportation costs, was about $32K.
