Default MSRP of new s2000’s

Hello all, or y’all where I’m from..

ive wanted one of these cars since they first came out but definitely couldn’t afford one back then. I’m looking at a couple right now ,2006 and 2007 and the prices are both in the low thirties. I was just wondering what these cars sold for new? Any info would be appreciated.

I think it was around $35k for a 2008: https://www.kbb.com/honda/s2000/2008/

Wow, CR was only $3k more! Sounds like a steal

Don't forget inflation.

$1.00 in 2008 is $1.43 in 2023. $35,000 would be $50,050 today -- still a bargain?

There's a rumor that a new S2000 will come out in 2024, all electric, $50-60k

Perhaps, but people have been saying that for how long now?

I will say this sounds more convincing than in the past, since it came from within Honda leadership.

S2000s were 50K when they were introduced in Canada in 1999.

$47,800 in Canuck-bucks to be technical. They were about $32K US when released down south.

Canada/US exchange rate has been horrible for Canucks for years. Dollars ain't dollars. CAD$1.36 to USD$1.00 this morning so a USD$50,000 S2000 would be CAD$68,000 .

Many years ago I administered compensation rates for a major US company and we paid nearly the same salaries in both countries but the buying power power of the Canadian dollar was much lower.
