Default MUGEN WHEELS

I originally posted this thread under the "wheel" special interest section but not one person replied... maybe I'll have better luck here.

Anyhow,

Anyone have Mugen wheels on their S2K? I had a set on my previous car (99 Prelude SH) and would like to do the same with my 06 S2000. Also, what do you guys think about a gun metal finish matching a black S2K?

Nice!! I think bronze, black or gun metal would work fine on a black S.

I checked out a local shop out here in L.A. today that deals in Mugen parts... not only can they get the GP's but seem to have a better price then King. Still a serious hit to the ole piggybank but after talking it over with the sales clerk I think I am definitely going the Mugen route.
The fronts and rears are roughly $700 a piece, with the actual $ quote at $689 (fronts) and $699 (rears). I think they weigh around 15 lbs a piece which leads me to wonder what the weight on the stock wheels is. It was also recommended that I drop the car a bit to lessen the wheel well gap but truthfully I am hesitant to do so seeing as how the ride is pretty stiff to begin with and this would no doubt increase that (even if only a tad). I think sometime over the next few weeks to a month I

Yeah, those are the MF10s if I'm not mistaken... not a bad looking wheel at all but I don't think Mugen still produces them. I had a set on my previous car (99 Prelude SH) but the bronze was a bad match on a silver car - I sold em for pennies (that loss still burns me) and bought a set of Mugen MZs. The funny thing is that when I bought the MF10's the only pic I had was from the Mugen website and I swear they looked to be gun metal - I recall opening up the box and thinking, as my stomach dropped, that I had paid cash for them and it was an absolute NO REFUND situation. Ah yes, lessons learned the hard way ;0
