My Dad's S2000
Hey all, my Dad had a lovely 2004 S2000 that he bought new. I always admired his S2000 and he taught me to drive manual in the car. He always dreamed of owning a British sports car when he was growing up, and to him the S2000 reminded him of the triumph TR6. I always told him that I would buy the car from him if he ever got tired of it. He never would hear any of it. About two years ago he was diagnosed with cancer. He got a few chances to drive it after his diagnoses, and he encouraged me to drive the car whenever I wanted. I still made offers to buy and he turned me down.
Dad passed away last month and he left the car to me. Yesterday I sold my Miata, and now the S2000 is my 2nd car with my 2016 Mazda 3 being my main vehicle. He wanted the car to remain stock, which I will honor, but I will make small improvements to wear items such as brakes and tires. I am also going to get a wider gas pedal cover as I am tall guy (6'5") and heel-toe is difficult with this car.
This website is a great wealth of information and I am looking forward to reading and learning.
The more I drive this car, the more I understand why he loved it so much.

Thank you for the welcome. He was not a member to my knowledge. Dad wasn't much of a forum guy. I'm certain he ran across the site on a Google search though.
