I don't have a degree in electrical engineering, I'm still in highschool! But it should be a fun experience. My dad is funding the project, with money that he was originally intending on getting a new Mercedes E63 coupe with, and I was intended to get his '08 E550. I turned him down since it slurps down gas, and I felt like I was killing the enviroment, since my commute to school and back is about 50 miles. I did the math, and with gas at $4 a gallon, I would use a little over $3000 of gas every year. So basically, all the money that was to go into the E63 is now going to be invested into lithium ion batteries, and my father will have to live with his old, out of date 2008 Benz. Boo hoo poor him .

I'm going to try to document and archive the entire project online, and in that spirit I have created a blogspot. It's at electrichonda.blogspot.com, and I will most likely update it every week, or more. I may even create a build thread on S2ki just for fun.

I saw a video a while ago on youtube where someone turned their s2k into an EV. I'll see if i can find it..

What a waste why even buy an s2k to do that? why not just buy a civic? Hybrid cars pollute the enviroment worse then gas powerd cars when they make the batteries.
