Default my impressions after 5 days of ownership

I've had my "eye-candy"..Rio yellow '06 S since early December but
'cause of my job keeping me away from home I've only been able
to actually drive her a total of 5 days.

I can say...wow! If I had to describe this car using few words it
would be..."HIGH-STRUNG"!

Always ready to launch...can't beleive the attention I get...even little
kids get excited seeing this car..got worried the other night at a gas station
when a bunch f them piled out of a mini van and started running at my car
to check it out!

I LOVE:
1). engine..dayum..even shifting at 4K this car is quite fun and adequate!
Not to mention going VTEC. I've read bad things about drive-by-wire throttle
but this car has the best throttle response I've ever felt in a car.
2). tranny..slick shifting..easily the best I've ever owned..just don't understand
though..when first drivng I missed 3rd and went into 1st at 30mph..didn't think
a car would allow going into 1st while in motion!
3). brakes..YES..stop..now! :
4). looks..find myself just staring at the car for minutes..gorgeous!

Not happy:
1). handling..it excels in some respects..but get quite a bit of body roll
when aggressive..like I say..its the best I've ever driven..but other asects
it lacks considering all the engineering behind this car.
I'm thinking eibach springs..but I'm not thrilled about lowering the car..it's
so low anyway..worry about ground clearance..but I do have 2" all around of
wheel well so the 1" drop would make that look better.
Might have to get some Neuspeed sway bars..but they are quite pricey
at $300 apiece.
2). wheels..they are great looking but I suspect they are heavy.might have
to upgrade to lighter.
3). seat height..at 6'5" I put the car at it's sise-limit..but hey..forgive me I fell in
love during the test-ride.
Think I read about a bracket somewhere that alllows a lower seat.

AWESOME car though..love it..don't really have any personal use for a
convertible..but I can overlook that for al the other positives!

Oh yeah! The S2000 turns heads wherever it goes. Even at 9... 10 years old.

Funny thing... kids react strongly to it!

I enjoy the attention!

Welcome , After getting more seat time, you'll adjust to all the things on your "not happy list". Lowering the car was the 1st thing I did when I bought mine. Good luck

Welcome

Get a lower seat rail and do an auto x or track day and your not happy list should go away.

congrats and welcome to the club.

yes, the s2k is underpowered and torqueless off the line, but as many will attest too, from a roll the s2k is just as fast as more powerful cars. There was a nice article someone posted recently on HP vs. Torque and it's co-relation that would ease your thoughts, but i can't find it.

hey you down there, here it is..lol. I don't understand it, but i get the general idea.

Welcome as well!

The attention you get is primarilly due to your color. It just screams "look at me!"

My Silverstone silver really doesn't get much attention at all. I guess that's because there are millions of silver cars on the road.

I would have preferred a red or yellow, but I couldn't pass up the awesome deal I got on this one, and the way I drive, I'd be a cop magnet with the yellow!

Have fun with it, but be careful....
