Hi everyone, just picked up this 2004 Suzuka Blue the other weekend and wanted to introduce myself. This is my first s2000 but not my first Honda. I'm actually getting rid of my 2017 STI to daily drive the AP2. Some people think I'm crazy for giving up such a nice car for one that's 15 years old but I have many plans.
Anyways the car has 93,500 mi and is in almost perfect condition. It was garage kept it's whole life and was very well taken care of. So far I've installed a new headunit, modifry convertible top straps, and a modifry cell phone holder. As far as maintenance goes I've changed all the fluids and installed new spark plugs. I'm planning on doing a valve adjustment soon as well (or at least a check).
Congrats man! I daily my Suzuka Blue AP2 as well. I sold a Focus ST for it. Honestly i do not regret it a single bit. This car has been amazing even as a daily.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one getting rid of a perfectly nice new car for something a little older!

I mean honestly having a new car is nice since its cushier and feels more luxury. But theres something about the S2k that i cant get away from. And it makes every day drives seem more fun. I had no fun in my ST. It was a boring car.

That's definitely true. I have been surprised at how many people don't know what an S2000 is. I have been asked more than once (in a year's time of ownership) what the car is. Expecting to hear a 2017+ something or other they are surprised when I say it is a 2001. Timeless cars.

Living in California a lot of people think this is a Z3 or some sort of BMW Z car but then get really confused when they see the Honda badge. Ive had a few people ask me how much i paid for the car and was surprised to hear 20k. I think they were thinking it was going to be more in the 50k range.

I daily a 93 del sol with 370,000km for 9 years and I get that twice a month. I've cut rust and repainted it myself twice in that time because people hit and run at University all the time and I get great deals on paint. I've removed the Honda badge so thats probably half of the game but fresh paint always makes ur shit look brand new. I got plans to pickup an s2000 that needs bodywork and paint it orange.
