Default my s2000 adventure.

my last car was an rsx-s, i got pretty tired of the fwd, thought it was time for a change!

so i went from this

to this

I'd like to start off by saying I've been in love with the s2000 for a couple years now and can't believe i just picked one up!

I started my journey in Illinois searching through autotrader, s2ki, cars.com, pretty much anything you could think of to locate the right car. Of course i ended up buying a fellow s2k'rs car which made the buying experience all that much sweeter.

After paying the man and getting the title i had to wait another 2 hours to drive the beast cause of my insurance taking a long ass time to give me a temporary permit (lot of faxing was done to obtain this) I finally got the car home after waiting hours in chicagoland traffic, which i am VERY not accustomed too, obviously i had to have the top down for the drive!

Before leaving for canada, a 13-15 hour drive I had to do some taping, didn't want rock chips on my baby.

as you can probably tell i went a bit overboard!

Along the way i got pulled over by some coppers,

in total i got pulled over 5 times from the start of Minneapolis through the 694 bypass, and 10 minutes after getting back on I-94, that stretch of road probably took me 3 hours to get by just cause of the damn cops, which all just pulled me over for no plates. One guy was a big dick actually, rest were nice.

I'm surprised i only got pulled over in Minnesota, and not in Wisconsin or North Dakota, go figure.

When i was minutes away from the border i had to get gas one more time at a CHEAP 1.14 a litre, what a magical number that is, wish us canucks payed that little for our cars drink.

my poor ass tape job was starting to peel off, but thats just cause it rained for 20 minutes prior to me arriving at that gas station.

After many hours of sunburnt me (obviously cause i was to stupid to put the top down + logical enough to think id get sunburnt). And many weird ass looks from people passing by trying to catch a glimpse of what i had written on my hood i made it home.

I'm sure I'll meet lots of new friends and have a good time on the forum. Cheers.

You couldn't get temporary plates?

Nice. I didn't have quite the drive you did getting mine home - only 6 hours but it was a great way to get introduced to the car. Except that it took me about 20 minutes to find the switch to open the fuel door. Congrats.
