Need advice on 07 AP2 with 109k miles
Hello everyone,
This is my first post here and I need some advice. I am looking at an 07 Ap2 with 109k miles. I have been looking for an ap2 s2k for some time but i have been looking for one with much less mileage on it. However, after seeing it in person, the car is in absolutely immaculate condition, show room condition. The car has been driven 106k of its life in NC and apparently its heaven for cars. No rust, no scratches, headlights are completely clear, absolutely stunning! My only concern with this car is the mileage. The owner has just done the 100k service himself save for the transmission and clutch. Having driven the car, the clutch seems to engage relatively high up though he says its within tolerance of the measurement given in the service manual.
My main concern, and this may sound stupid and n00bish but here does anyway: I am worried about the amount of power lost over those 100k miles compares to a 60k mile example. Is this an illegitimate concern? I just want to make sure i am not missing out on any power because of this car's mileage. The owner showed me pics of the spark plugs he took out during his service and they looked immaculate. I am also worried about having to soon fix things that may brake soon. I am also worried about the fact that its already through with a mjority of its useful life, How many more years/mileage do you guys think she can go for?
He is also offering the car at a great price at 14k which is much less than the 20k i thought i would have to pay for one in this good of a shape.
What does everyone think? Could it have lost some power over the years? Should i be worried about its reliability? Any advice is helpful and sorry for the n00bish questions. Also, if anyone can recommend a mechanic in the Detroit area to come take a look at the car with me, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

between 60k and 100k, it's still nearly new.. near zero loss.. going off how clean you say, and going to imagine it has been driven well.. it's got many years and miles left... if you can't come up with someone, take a ton and then another ton of photo's an post them up.. folks here will rip it apart where it needs and compliment it where they see..

Welcome to the forum!
Thanks for the advice everyone. I actually went to a dealership nearby that had a 32k mile example and this 109k mile example looked cleaner and also was in slightly better shape since i felt a vibration through the clutch of the 32k mile example.

if your worried about how the mileage has affected the engine, look into getting a compression test. id also never buy a car without a chance to look at its underside, and have a through inspection for any leaks or seeping gaskets. doesnt take all that long, and when your dishing out $15-25K on a used car with no warranty, it pays to make sure the car you get will last you. Be patient, it took me over 2 months to find the right S2k for me, and i feel i got lucky.
