Thumbs up Need Some Advise From All of You PLS...

First of all, I just wanted to say that everybody on here has been a big help for me by providing so much insight/information about their cars which made my research alot easier in regards of purchasing/owning an S... so thank you...

Getting to the point, a manager at a dealership presented an offer of $30,000 not including tax/title fees/etc etc for a MY08 LBP Base after being offered ~$38,000 from the start by a salesperson [which was to me]. Is this a good deal or not? The only thing that I'm worried about is that all of his calculations were all off in regards to the rate that they were trying to finance the car for, especially when I double-checked it thru the honda web site. I told them that I will think about it and will let them know asap if I ever decide to do business with them. So should I follow thru with it or not??? any suggestions??? Btw the car has no accessories installed only security alarm. Please help me out with this.. Thanks everybody.

30K doesn't sound horrible for an 08 but I would wait. 07's are still around and going for 26,500 or so.

It doesn't sound too bad to me for an 08. What color are you looking for? There are many 07's around the US and it may be worth your while to check them out. If the color you want is available you could fly and pick it up and still save a bunch of $$$. The 08's will keep dropping in price as well if you can wait.

update with the whole situtation... another manager called me this morning and was wondering what kind of deal i was looking for in order for them to sell the car... i told them that i was looking for $500 monthly max along with the 30k selling price. he said that he was going to check with another manager and after 30 mins... he calls back and finally says~~~ YES we're able to do it.

man... i'm just sick & tired of dealerships... i guess you really need 2 know what you're gettin' into before doing business with one. so now i have 2 go back there today and see what will be next...

i hope everything turns out to be ok without them rippin' me off and i guess i have to do more of . thanks again for the responses and i'll keep you guys updated.

you also have the right to not sign the final paper work once you get to that point. i was buying a car once, had settled on about 320 a month, and then when it came time to sign, it had gone up to 375 a month. turns out they couldnt finance the car for as long as they thought. i could have turned it down at that point, but i didnt. anyways, guess im sayin dont sign unless you are SURE it will keep you happy for a while.

yea that's true... and i believe i actually did a good job stickin' to my set goal that i had set before going to the dealership...

but here's the outcome of the battle which lasted 2 days... lol. i got it down $900 below invoice and that's including extended warranty for up to 72 month/90K, gap, paint protection, security, sales tax, and all the other fees etc etc. did i get a good deal??? and btw that's for an '08 LBP w/ 22miles. hehehe....

so now i can finally say that i'm gonna be stickin' to this forum for a while and that i'm proud new owner of an amazing car... thanks for all the advice guys.
