Seems pretty straightforward. Go 1-2-3-4-5-6 (and back down the same way), not 2-4 or whatever other permutations. Search (add the username Woodwork to your keywords) if you want to read up. It's covered quite a bit here and on other S sites.

this + how to reverse.. This was my first 6 speed car as I've always owned 5-speed.
