Default New AP2 '07 Owner

Hey guys! I just bought my first S2000 ever get in Virginia Beach. It's an 07 Silverstone near mint with only 11.5k miles on the odometer! I'm coming from an FRS and I'm insanely excited to have an S2000 and be apart of the community.

Thanks for all the information I got from these forums while I was planning my purchase, I couldn't have done it without you guys!

Congrats. I been waiting for the 2017 Toyota 86, but I just got tired of waiting so I bought a 2007 black S2000 with 28,000. I was initially going to buy a high mileage, low price S2000 to play for a year, sell it, and then buy the 2017 86. However, I came to my senses and bought what my heart wanted -- a clean AP2 S2000.

Looks gorgeous. (Of, course, mine is a near identical '06! )

Mine had more miles. Near consensus here is to start with all new fluids so you have your own baseline. Coolant and brake/clutch fluid are time based, not mileage, and are important. Good synthetic engine, gearbox, and differential oil will give you a warm fuzzy feeling and they're not that expensive. Since the car is new to you this is also a good time to start with engine oil analysis as that will often pinpoint potential failures long before they're disabling.
