New Bay Area owner
Hey everybody,
I'm a proud new owner of an 04 Suzuka Blue S! Here is my story...
I've dreamt of owning one since 2000. I was just starting college then, and having never owned a new car (was on my 2nd used one), told myself that I would buy my dream car as a graduation present to myself. For various reasons (an initial lack of discipline, working full time all the way through and paying for every dime of it myself, then a year off due to medical issues) it took me until May of 2011 to complete my BS in Computer Science. Much to my dismay did I discover that the S2000 had been discontinued (how could you, Honda!). In August, I was having dinner with an old friend and her husband who I had not seen in a couple of years. She asked if I had gone on a big trip or done something special for myself after graduating (I hadn't), but I told her my sad story about my college career taking longer than the production run of my dream car, and that I was looking for one. The husbands eyes light up -- "you want to buy an S2000? I'm selling one!" We went on a test drive the following weekend (I had never even been in one before) and I was beyond sold. I had always really wanted a Silverstone, but this was from a friend and had only 49K miles on it -- the stars were too aligned for me to pass this up. Blue has always been my favorite color in general, and the Suzuka is almost identical to the metallic blue of my mom's old 5-speed 1983 Accord (which I learned to drive on and thus began my passion for Honda). This was Karma in action.

Had it since September, been too busy driving around with a grin on my face to join/post here.

big congrats! no worries about taking so long to finish college. I started in 02 and didnt finish until August of this year, getting my degree finally after similar circumstances. You won't be disappointed in getting your S, I certainly wasn't after getting mine last month. Welcome, fellow Bay Area owner
Hey sinewave,
Congrats on your new car! Looks great.
From the picture, it looks like it could be mine -- mine's a totally stock 2006 Suzuka Blue that I got this past August. Enjoyed your story. I'm in the South Bay too, so I'll be looking for you.
Congrats on your new car! Looks great.
