New Bay Area S2000 Owner
Nice to meet everyone, as you can see I'm a first time poster here but I've lurked these boards for a while now. I took a lot of time reading through s2ki before making my decision to purchase an S2000 so thanks to the community for helping nudge me in the right direction. I bought my own s2k a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier with it. I specifically went after a berlina black ap1 and found an 03 with a little under 73k miles. I'm from the south bay but bought the car from Fresno for 12k.
Car drives great and is in good mechanical condition. Body is straight but has light scratches and tiny dings around it. Definitely not perfect but at least the paint is in good condition and it's all small stuff. So far all I've done is paint the stock wheels gold along with the front/back emblems, and removed the side emblems. Previous owner put a CR badge on the back for some reason that I had to remove and buff out. Changed the oil and filter along with tranny, brake/clutch, and diff fluid. Oh I also replaced the head unit with a Pioneer deh-x6500bt since my stock one was skipping discs. I'm having the soft top replaced on Thursday as the current one has a tear in the usual spot. I ordered a Robbin's soft top from topsonline, the fastback cloth one in black. Other than that my plan was not to spend any more money on the car for a while but I've settled on getting coilovers this week too lol. After doing some research I just feel safer going that route than rocking pro kit springs on stock shocks. If I'm gonna' get the koni yellows with them I may as well get the coils for a few hundred more. I've decided on Bilstein PSS, cheapest I've found is here: http://www.mjmautohaus.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=3054
I also want to order some small parts like a new shift knob (still deciding which), the ricks2k front license plate holder, stickers for the center caps, maybe some floormats?

I look forward to contributing to the forum however I can and learning from everyone at s2ki.
