I am getting my son's S2000 next week. It is year 2000 and has 90K kms on it. It is silver and black. I am buying it from him as he does not have a garage in his place. He is also into downhill biking and he needs an SUV to transport his gears. Dad to the rescue. I like the car as well. I am not a speed guy though but my wife and I would like to treat ourselves on a convertible. I already read here that if you take out the spring spacers that it will ride much nicer. I might just do that if there are any in there. How much difference is the ride if you take them out? Thanks in advance and looking forward to getting in this site often.

sounds really cool... wtg dad... shhhhh don't let your son know you and the mrs had this planned the whole time.. least not til he's ready..

a 2k s2k, with only 90km on it, that is almost like a new suspension... it is a stiff ride, and I would not recommend changing anything.. more so get accustom to it.. different tyres maybe..

The spacers should have been taken out at time of delivery back in 2000.(they were put on the car for shipping). I'd be surprised that after 13yrs they'd still be on the car.

Welcome.

Check out the link in my signature for new owners. You will find info about spring spacers in there too!
