Default New Guy

Ok so figured i would start a introduction thread for this forum since im in the market for a s2k. im also not new to hondas.
Had a 2010 civic si that was my baby. that ended up gone because i wanted a mazdaspeed 3. which ended up being sold because it was lemon.
The got a srt-4 for a play toy and was just not happy with the car so just sold that. now. time to move onto a sweet car i have always wanted to own.
My first question and im sure there is a thread but just quick short Q. what should i get first? mods wise?

First of all, welcome. Take a look at these threads, they will provide you with answers to questions you may have in the future.

General FAQ

First mod has a lot to do with what your goals are for the car. The first 'Mod' you should get are some Kodokan Seat Locks.

now when you say seat locks.... you mean like the seats tend to eject themselves?

and my goal for the car is my weekend car i want to stay all motor and prob like intake and full exhuast and some tiny things here and there
maybe some wheels and a little stance and was thinking about getting a modded k pro but kinda wondering if the 1k is worth it

Oh no, lol. I say seat locks because S2K's are notorious for having their seats stolen.

I hate wheel gap so my first mod would easily be some coilovers. I plan to keep my S2K forever, when I finally pull the trigger on one. My goal is similar to yours, having a nice weekend car that looks great, sounds great, and is funner to drive than my Accord .

However, I've been watching a ton of AutoX/HPDE videos and wow.... looks insanely fun.

you don't really need coilovers to do that you can just cut the springs. and im not talking a no good job im talking cut them correctly and it will clear the wheel gap.

Being adjustable is a huge plus. Also, enlighten me on "correctly" cutting your springs.

Never mind I thought you knew a secret I didn't. Don't cut your springs man... ever.

Your car will ride like crap, and be unsafe at higher speeds. It will ride way too bouncy and you will bottom out a ton, destroying precious things like oil pans, downpipes, etc. Not to mention you will destroy suspension components like your shocks. Also, your UCA's will likely smack against the top of your strut towers due to your bouncy suspension.
