Hi, all! Just chiming in as one of the new guys. I'm located on Long Island, the land of brutal traffic and boring, straight roads. I purchased a 2007 Laguna Blue Pearl AP2 back in November. I wasn't looking for another car, but the only S2000 I'd ever have wanted was a LBP or GPW AP2 with the factory aero kit and a hard top. This one happened to pop up for sale and I had to jump at the chance. The car having APv2 wheels was just a bonus, since they're not 'technically' correct but they're my favorite AP2 wheels.
The car is a 2007 with 41K miles. The exterior and interior are both nearly flawless. The hard-top was originally GPW but has been vinyl-wrapped black, which I love. The car appears to be bone stock except for the Billman TCT, an ETD, and CR side turn signals (which look better, so I'm happy they're there). I bough it as a "it's nice out today and I don't need to take the kids anywhere" car, so I'm actually getting quite a bit of seat time since I have plenty of hobbies I do on my own. The big test will be getting my golf bag in the car once summer hit, but I'm confident it'll be fine.
Since obtaining the car, I've done a few quality-of-life upgrades: Modifry cup holder and the PowerAcoustik PW-71 Android Auto head unit with an integrated back-up camera. Other than the screen being hard to see when the top is down (I need more nits!), it has really helped make the car even more enjoyable and stress-free.
Looking forward to getting the car a thorough once-over from @Billman250 in a few months.
AP2V2 wheels are correct for a your 2007 (or any LBP car since these are all 2006-2009) but these are AP2V1 wheels. The car doesn't care! Heck I'm always tempted to put AP2V3 wheels on my '06.
Welcome to S2KI! The car looks amazing. You're lucky to have Billman close by. Be sure to check the New York Metro sub-forum periodically for goings on near you: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/new-york...000-owners-61/
