Default New guy

Wasup guys! May name is Jacob and I currently drive a Black 04 AP2 and also a Teal EG, cept thats up for sale. My current AP2 mods are as follows.

Mods so far.
T1R exhaust.
J's racing header.
Mugen thermostat
Mugen raidiator cap.
Yellow box to correct the speedometer(sp) **for the diffrent gears**.
richmond 4.57 gears.
comptech rear differential housing
X-brace.
and Kumho ecsta xs tires.

BTW I have owned the car about a year 1/2, I plan on getting some coilovers and dropping it soon and hopefully some regamasters after that, any suggestions on coilovers? Would anything actually improve the S2k's handling?

You've got some well chosen mods!

Questions:
- Do the gears whine or make other noises? You mentioned a hum in the other thread.
- Which T1R do you have? I've got the 70R EM dual.
- Does the yellow box work well? How 'bout the Comptech diff housing?

Answers:
- Oh yes, there is a lot that can be done to improve handling. You've come to the right place!

Official Stickys

My setup is on page 14 of the official springs thread.

Just be careful - modding the S2000 can be hit or miss. Research everything carefully and try to find someone local who has already done what you're considering. I'm about to buy my third exhaust because I didn't dig enough before buying the others.

Oh I didnt notice the type of exhaust wasnt listed lol. Its a sparrow.
Yeah the gears do whine but I kinda like it, its proof of the mod in a way kinda like a turbo when it goes chissssshhhhh. As far as I know the yellow box works as its supposed to! Never got pulled over for going five over lol. I was just going to go with something like teins, I'm just looking for a drop that isnt going to lower my handling.

I've heard good things about the Teins. I'd have probably gone with them except my rims are the wrong offset and I couldn't drop it more than 1/2" without rubbing bad. (You'll be fine going lower on the stock rims.)

Yeah I checked out your setup, noice!

Oh yeah!! I forgot to mention I have a set of espilers sitting in my house but I cant tell which or the front/backs as I bought them used off a buddy on another site, they only have like 500 miles on them too .

I got some steel brake lines to go on as well.
