I do not own a S2000 yet, but will soon be shopping for one after I sell my current car. I want to ask s2000 owners, what things do I need to be aware of when buying these cars? Looking forward to being part of this community.

then i'd definitely get the 02-03, rear glass with rear defrost, leather center console, few other little upgrades compared to the earlier models

Yeah definately come out to some of the meets. Thats what I did when looking for mine and everyone was very helpful pointing out things to watch for. You could also post that you are looking and may get some offers from the local guys. Welcome and I hope to meet you soon!

 

Ive been looking at s2000s in craigslist and autotrader and concluded that the car is out of my price range. Can anyone tell me if the s2000 is a more reliable car than the rsx? I wouldn't mind getting a small loan to purchase the s2000, if it means that I won't spend much keeping it maintained than the rsx.

 

What intrigues me about the s2000 is the wide selection of aftermarket parts, but that won't come until I'm done with school
