Hey everyone. New guy here. My name is Rob. I just traded my G35 a 2001 S2000 with 225k miles on it. The amount of miles still scares me to be honest, but after reading lots of posts, they seem to have plenty of life possible after this point. Motor seems to be strong and the compression test I did was good and consistent across all of the cylinders. My resolve beyond this is clear with regards to building a new f20c if this one does take a dump. Nice to meet you all and hope to see you around! Here is a picture of the new ride.

 

It looks nice for the mileage. If it was well cared for, don't let miles scare you.

 

Thank you, and yes that's what i keep in the back of my mind is the condition of everything as a whole.

 

Assuming that a car is maintained as per schedule, how long should an S2000 stock engine last before a complete teardown and/or rebuild is required.?

 

Rebuilding these engines is seldom successful so take good care of it.
