Default New LBP owner here

Hey everybody. New Laguna Blue Pearl owner here! Just picked up my s2k last week. 2006 with 73k miles but still looking good.

It's bone stock minus an aftermarket pioneer radio. Plans for now include a few practical upgrades such as the modifry phone mount, cupholder, and console organizer. In the next few weeks I plan on getting a q300 exhaust to give it some growl. By the end of the next couple months I'll have some wheels and tires to throw on

Very excited to own this car and be a part of the community.

Looks great! I was going to warn you that the Q300 is really loud but then checked and saw that you're 22 so...lol.

Hahahah can you blame me? If it's too loud then you're too old as my parents say lol

I had a q300 on my '13 civic si I had previously and it was only a little louder than stock. the s2k version definitely seems louder but not like some others. I like it for the its tone

I'm not much older than you

The Q300 is obnoxious and sounds like a fifth grade trying to play his first trumpet as loud as possible.

No I can’t blame you. I would have too at your age. Now I’m 44 and I’ve got the Tanabe Medallion. I think we can both agree the stock one is too tame..lol.

Have you actually heard the Q300 in person? For a lot of cars its one of the quieter exhausts. For whatever reason on the S2k its actually quite loud and obnoxious and very much not "a bit louder than stock". If you want a bit louder than stock i'd recommend Tanabe. I have the Tanabe Concept-G which is the louder of the two (other being the Medallion Touring) and its decently loud but so much so that cops really start paying attention to you.

I haven't heard it in person, only from videos. I've already seen many people complain about the noise level and end up switching to a different exhaust. I really just want an exhaust that sounds deep and is a noticeable difference in noise level. Maybe I'll rethink the q300 if it's really as loud as people say

I'll definitely look into the Tanabe. Thanks for the heads up
