Default New to me 2006 S2000 AP1

I just bought a new-to-me 2006 AP1 S2000 with 80k miles (130k km)

The car is super clean for its age, and I plan to make it even better.
It has a small tear on the canvas, and a slight rattle at idle, so I will order a new top and a new TCT.

I will take more pictures soon to post up.

If that's a 2006, it's an AP2. But congrats on the purchase!

Only in the US. The rest of the world (except japan later) still had the AP1 (F20c engine) till end of production. But it did get all the other updates with the facelift.

These "facelift" ap1's may be s2k perfection. Nice car.
Did the transmission and the dif get revised in these cars?

Car looks wonderful!

AP1 and AP2 are engine designations. North American 2004 and later cars got the AP2 engine. As noted on one else got that engine other than Japan and they got it later.

I'm not familiar with the wheels on non-North American model years, or if there are any differences, but the wheels on this car were only fitted 2004 and 2005 model year cars in North America. 2006 - 2007 wheels are different. I'm curious what the build date is. Shows on a sticker on the body in one of the door jams.

Complete roof is expensive and requires most of a day to fit (or it will leak). A tasteful patch may be all ya need other than new elastic straps between the roof bars to the roof retracts fully (this is normal wear).

Just found that car car has polyurethane gearbox, engine and diff bushes. It does explain the vibrations. Not sure why the previous owner did this.

The suspension bushes are still rubber thankfully.

The clutch is also very aggressive, apparently it is a ACT unit. Its noisy as well.

I'll probably swap the bushes for stock one soon.
