new member '02 S2K
Hi All, picked up an '02 S2K a few weeks ago (1 owner 21K miles) and thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. Cars of the past 2 years have been AR "always check for rust" Spider and followed by a '90 " empty the checking account"" Porsche 911.
I also just sold a '12 Mustang Boss which altho a fun stop light to stop light car...it just couldn't do the twisties. So I searched for a car that would be similar handling, ala the Porsche, but not drain my pockets whenever repairs were needed.
The S2K fit the bill & I located an '02 original owner car with just 21K miles. It's up on jack stands now as I tackle fluid changes, brake pads, valve adjustment and all the other "while it's up there" kind of stuff. Crapload of salt & brine on the roads so nows the time to get things tended too....damn, 2 more months until I can drop the top on this thing!
Thanks to all who were involved with the DIY's on this site and all the other SK2 members for the valuable information and tips.

I chuckled at the Boss not being able to take the corners comment.
Glad you're here sir. 2002 was a great year for the car, very neutral handling characteristics, aesthetic and functional upgrades while maintaining the raw feel of the F20C.
