hey ppl im michael from stockton CA. im 17 and im lookin for an s2000. i went to a used car dealership today and testdrove an 2000 honda s2000 with 83,607 miles. the guy told me $16500 but i told him ill think about it. i told him that cause when i was driving it i noticed a knocking from the motor so we pulled over and looked i told him to look at the oil when we pulled the dipstick out lots of smoke came out from the hole where the dipstick belongs. so he told me that its normal and i was thinking no its not. so we went on the main road i revved it to 45oo rpm and launched then the car started to bounce and bogg out like there was no gas. im wondering if i should buy it or not can you guys give me a solution as to why the car is doing that? here is the link to the website look under honda s2000. thanks ~ michael

Michael,
1. You shouldn't be launching the car in the first place, and 4500 RPM is not enough to break the wheels loose cleanly.
2. The price is too high.
3. Anything wrong with it, like this, walk away.

sorry but im new to manul remember im 17. need to work on the clutch and gas more better. but it wasnt driver error cause the car even did it on the freeway. like it was a fuel pump or something
I meant, don't buy the car you're looking at. It has problems.
When you own an S and you want to drive it ALL the time (like I do) and share it with your wife (like I do), then the bike rack is really great for vacations and daily bicycle use. Besides, my hitch comes off the car and the mounting brackets are invisible.
