Hello -New member on forum from NE Florida. Educating myself on S2000. On the lookout for an ‘08-‘09 low mileage example.

Currently owner of NA2 NSX (2005). Looking to add to my garage the best of what Honda has made.

S2000s make great garage mates for NSXs. Hope you find a nice one!

There are only a few out there.

One for sale as I type this. Jump on I95 and set the cruise control or take the AutoTrain.

Data published here indicates there were only 355 MY2009 cars imported (USA) including CRs and 2500 MY2008 so they're in very short supply. Some believe the 2009s are merely left-over 2008 cars so they're the same car but I've never seen their VINs. I admit to a twinge of disloyalty to my 2006 Silverstone when I spot a Chicane Silver (closest color we got to Moonrock) 2008 with the big 5-spoke wheels. Those big 5-spoke wheels are the visual clue to these cars but check 'cuz all wheels are interchangeable. 2008 and later got a different instrument cluster and seats as well.

My 2009 Rio Yellow Pearl (38 RYP in the USA for 2009) was manufactured in August of 2008.

I do like the instrument panel with everything on a giant arc. I always wondered about the red stitching on the seats no matter the color of the car, CRs excepted.

That's an 09 VIN for sure. How does the VIN on the firewall look, stamped before or after painting?

Thanks for the photo. More trivia: Does the font for the "9" the model year position look unusual ? -- I don't have one in my VIN to compare.

yes. I like the ‘08-09 because they are the last ones and I like the wheels and dash. Trying to connect with that ‘08 seller you linked to, but haven’t had any success yet.

I specifically got my ‘05 NSX because I wanted a last year example even though they are the same as the ‘04.

My search goes on.

I think it is just the font style in general. The other numbers have some flare to them also but the 9 is the most dramatic.

That is what I think too.
