New Member - Future Owner?
Sup All,
Looking to purchase an S2000 in Q2 of this year. Wish me luck! I currently own a 19 FK8 in CW, which is a blast to drive but I want/need an S in my life. Plan on keeping both in case anyone is wondering.

Welcome and good luck. Be ready to be patient and have cash on hand ready to pounce when the right car pops up. Don't be too picky unless you are prepared to wait and pay. It is a sellers market for sure. The numbers of good examples on the market seems to be dropping lately. Not a surprise since the last one was manufactured about 12 years ago and there were never that many manufactured over the 10 year run.
Be careful if looking at 2006 and newer to be sure the top end of the engine is healthy. Those cars have documented tendency to develop out of spec valve clearances more quickly than the OEM recommended inspection interval. If it were me and the car had more than 30K miles on it I would get a good compression test to be sure there are no burned valves. If you have a good ear for misfires, and no codes in history maybe that is enough. Most will be fine. But not all.

You should check out my S2000 for sale as of 2/5/21 on this forum ("CA - 2007 S2000 - Silverstone - Upgraded"). It is very clean and has had no accidents - plus it has $12K in parts/upgrades included. Great car for someone looking to start their S2000 experience!
