New Member (guest status), Hopeful to Soon be New Owner
Hey everyone!
Wanted to introduce myself and explain what I'm about.
I've been enamoured with the S2000 for a while now but it wasn't until recently that I realized I am in a position to make the dream a reality.
I simply adore the car, as well as the incredible community of like-minded enthusiasts and great people that it attracts. It feels truly special in so many ways that I'm sure you're all already aware of.
Very recently I was incredibly close to getting a gorgeous 2009 Apex Blue (Canadian) but a series of unfortunate circumstances caused me to miss it by 24 or less hours. I'll admit I'm sincerely heartbroken over the loss, but I'm not giving up on my dream.
I'm hoping I can still find a similar one and truly become a part of this amazing community of enthusiasts.
I've added a post in the WTB forum which you can see here: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/114...2000-canadian/
I wanted to make a callout to member DaGou who wished me luck in my search! Also I seem to be in a status (because of my new account I presume) where I can't reply to that threat of mine in the WTB forum or send PMs to other members. If anyone has any advice on how I can get around those obstacles and be able to communicate with other members (particularly if anyone comes forward with an S2000 I might be interested in) I would appreciate the help.
I wanted to finish this off by thanking you all for your time and any help/advice you have.
Thanks!
- Dan

Welcome!
Anyone can post new threads in the WTB section, however only paid members can sell on this site so only paid members can reply to threads in the WTB section. The reason you can't view others' profiles or send them PMs is an unrelated issue. New users have a two-week probation period. Once that two weeks is up (or you purchase a membership), you will have access to those features.
Hope that helps. Best of luck in your search.
Have patience and the right one will come along.

Welcome fellow Canadian.

I live in Winnipeg Manitoba and I can offer my assistance if you find something near me.
If you are looking for a true maple syrup-instead-of-motor-oil Canadian S2000 there are some colours you should not even bother to look at. The Laguna Blue Pearl was never offered in Canada, Imola Orange was never offered in the USA.

If you search on the Autotrader.ca website, you'll likely find cars that are way overpriced. For example, right now there's a MY00 at Pickering Honda selling for 33K. If I were you, I'd look for an S2k in the States and import to Canada. You'll likely spend less and get a better car (not winter driven, less kilometers), etc.
