New Member From Houston
New guy from Houston. What's up guys, been lurking for a few weeks as I just picked up a 2003 Suzuka Blue S2k. I'm a BMW guy at heart but when the opportunity to pick up this came up I had to jump on it. No pics yet and she's in rough shape but with the help of this forum I'm already getting things ordered. Hope to contribute as well with anything I can.
Welp, first DIY to the S2000 was a new Robbins top. Didn't come with instructions but I saw a few write ups on this site and videos online so decided to get to it. Install was a real PITA especially alone but got it done. I will say, I will never do this again and will pay someone next time,(LOL) but at least it is done and I can move on to spool valve, intake manifold gasket repairs.
Yeah, not the most exciting install to perform. I replaced one for an AP1 back in 2008 for a friend form the KCSubaru forms when that site was still active. I was replacing Subaru timing belts for friends/members in town at that time. I offered to install the new Robins with glass window for half the price of what he was being quoted. Took way longer than I had anticipated and there were only some crappy printed out instructions from Robins that I had to go off of. But easy enough to follow, especially when you aren't in a rush.
Beware common result of a bungled s2000 roof install is water flooding the trunk whenever the car is washed or out in the rain. Be sure to check the condition after washing or a good rain. Hopefully nice and dry.

PS: Pictures of a new-to-you car are still required, regardless of condition, or this didn't happen!
Besides your "after" photos will be even more impressive.

Always good to see a clean, unaltered S2000! (The clear side turn signals don't really count.)
