Hi guys!
I just bought my first S2000 a few days ago and I am looking for some help. First lets start with my car, it is a 2000 Honda S2000, black with red leather, 99,000 miles, bone stock. It needs some work but I think I got it for a pretty reasonable price. She needs a new front bumper, trunk, seats and a paint job. Other than that, she is mechanically solid and has a brand new top! One of the first things I am going to tackle tomorrow is some maintenance. I am going to change the oil, trans fluid and do a coolant flush. Sometime in the very near future I want to do a valve adjustment and replace the valve retainers with AP2 retainers. Valve adjustments are part of 100k maintenance, correct? Now for the questions, is there anything specific I should look for while doing the trans fluid and coolant flush? What fluids are best for the S2000? I am coming from the Subaru world, all I know is Rotella T6. I would also like to know what are the best aftermarket options for the parts I am looking to replace? As in front bumper and trunk. I am still deciding whether I should get my leather fixed or just go with a nice pair of Bride seats. I am looking forward to becoming a part of the S2000 community and I can't wait to hear some advice/opinions!

Thank you guys for welcoming me! Okay so here is my first problem. I was driving home from work today and out of the blue the car will not go into 6th gear. It's almost like there is something blocking 6th gear. I have looked into it a little bit but not too much. Anyone have some quick advice?

 

It doesn't go in at all? I had the same problem and ended up getting an ap2 transmission
