New Member/Owner - '03 Spa Yellow
Hey everyone! I'm the current owner of an Acura TL 3G 6-speed. I woke up a about 12 days ago and decided that the S2K is a dying breed and that I should have one. Being impulsive when it comes to these kind of things, I ended up picking one up on Ebay a few nights later (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CONVE...#ht_500wt_1182). I was shocked at the price the car sold for and didn't fully believe it until I drove 400 miles to pick it up on Tuesday. When I pulled up to my house the next evening and the wheels still hadn't fallen off and the oil was still in the engine, I realized it was for real. I'm really happy to have gotten a late AP1, as I was planning on an 01-02 with my budget. This one actually has a build date of 05/03 (last month of AP1 production?) and wasn't even titled until '04 as far as I can see from the autocheck. As a bonus theres already an AP2 bumper on the car, as the original one was chipped up pretty bad.
As far as plans for the car... It has an aftermarket exhaust that's going back to stock next week (a little too annoying for me on the drive home I decided). Also have a sticky rear caliper that needs replacing(same one as on my TL, go figure). I'm also going to do a lens restoration on the headlights, giving the soft top a full cleaning and treatment, and possibly re-badge the side emblems back onto the car. Oh, and fill in that tow hook cover that looks like a gaping hole right now. Any maybe slap an OEM spoiler on there, we'll see. Nothing too fancy, just want a clean looking S for summer cruising and something I can stare at and be proud.
Anyway, im happy to finally be an S2000 owner. I remember when the car first came out, I was just getting my learners permit. Its great to finally have a dream become a reality, even if it took 13 years! See you guys around..
