Default New member and soon to be owner!

First time ever posting on here, have been a huge Honda fan since the 90's and finally decided to get myself an S2K! I'm still working on the deal as we spreak, but here are some photos of what I'm looking at getting.
It's a 2001 AP1 with 103k kms and 10/10 VIN matching.

How can I tell if the badging and lip are in fact OEM from Honda?

Photos look great!

Is the question about original (from the factory) or dealer installed? Parts can be "OEM" but not factory fitted.

As I recall the front lower spoiler (is this what you're calling a "lip?") was dealer applied and will have Honda branding and mold/part numbers on the inside surface that may be visible on a lift. Same same with any badging but that'll require removing the badges.. Front and rear H-badging on the late cars (all cars?) were chrome outlines (no inner filler). I see black and red filled Hs frequently on early but don't know if these were factory or dealer applied parts. My wife's Civic had gold badging installed at the dealer before delivery. Genuine and reproduction Honda badging and spoilers are frequent on eBay.

Thank you! Yes I will check once I get it up in the air as I'm curious as well if it's Honda parts or not. Either way, the lip fits pretty well from what I can see. Not sure if I'd keep the black Honda badging or replace with red ones?

I'm not sure the red or black background H-badges were ever factory options but Honda has had Dealer options in several of their cars. Spoilers, and badging, were common and even a S2000 supercharger was available from some dealers (carried the factory warranty) a couple of very early years in the US. My car is silver and my personal preference is the chrome outline H just as mine came from the factory. I also prefer the clear lens side turn signal especially on the silver cars; these only came on the CR so are only "correct" for about 600 cars.

Ya got lots of time to tweak the trim on the car. Spend your money and time on how it runs for now.

I had no idea, especially about the supercharger part and being under factory warranty. Yea, I'm not a big fan of the orange lens in the headlights, so I am looking for a JDM set, just so hard to source....

I had no clue about the supercharger either; I have all of the OEM accessory brochures for MY 2000 to MY 2004 and no mention in the literature? Certainly wasn't available when I ordered my first S2000 back in 2001?
