New owner 08 rio yellow pearl
Hello fellow s2000 owners! On 08/15/15 I became the proud owner of a 08 rio yellow pearl S2k with 9500 miles, 1 owner! In the trunk was the boot cover for ragtop the manuals and brochures/ sales training book, window sticker and articles the previous owner saved. I really believe the owner did enjoy owning it, but didn't drive it. Lol The car I gave up to buy this beauty was a 08 Lexus IS-F that I owned for 4 years. I have ways wanted either an NSX or S2k and, well at the moment, the S is just easier and less expensive to buy. Especially a super clean one with low mileage. I hope to learn a lot about the car here and also meet some owners as well in the future. So I should probably have some service done. From the documentation I received with the car, it's pretty much been a couple of oil changes. What do you guys recommend? I figure all the fluids. And is there anything else I should look for? One thing I noticed was that when the roof is closing it doesn't seem to go all the way. I keep pressing the toggle button to move it forward and then pull the handle to get the hooks in. Is there an adjustment or sensor that needs calibration? Thanks in advance [attachment=85447::]

Nice find!
If the roof was left open for months (years?) the fabric may be taut. Close it and wash the car. Leave the roof closed to dry and the fabric may adapt itself to the right shape. Wetting it a couple of times may help. You should see a gap above the windshield and then the latches should pull the roof closed. Open the roof and fit the boot cover. Admire how good it looks. Remove and store somewhere 'cuz you'll probably never use it again!
Hydraulics and coolants are time based maintenance and I doubt yours were changed. Both easy tasks although getting all the air out of the engine cooling system can be tedious. Lubricants are changed with the Maintenance Minder on the dashboard tells you but you should start from a new baseline with new engine oil/filter, gearbox oil, and differential oil. Details are in the maintenance section in the forum. Stick with Honda-branded engine coolant, gearbox (manual transmission) oil, and oil filter. Opinions abound on engine and differential oil!
Might as well go with synthetic engine oil; you'll feel better.
Check the tires for sidewall cracking. 7 or 8 year old tires age just sitting there.
