I've been looking for a car for several months now ! I remember when the S2K came out and thought it was insane and lusted for one, however the cash was not there - a couple of days ago this 2002 popped up on local Craig's List - it was sort of to late to call but I did text him and made arrangements to see it early the next morning ! I spent pretty the rest of the night cramming info from the internet and by the next morning REALLY wanted one ! I did buy it - Silver 2002 with 84K miles - his asking price was $13K - I got it for 11K cash ! He was very meticulas caring for it and it shows - he manages an auto parts store here ! The only thing I'll change is back to stock exaust - he has what I assume is a very high end exaust on it BUT I'm way over the sound - he's giving me the stock setup + 4 extra wheels !
I'll be 60 in Nov so I'm not sure what the hell I'm thinking - the mid life crisis is way in the past ! At any rate I think I'll enjoy it - I ride motorcycles as well and have an 04 Triumph Sppedmaster and a 2000 Honda Valkyrie ( The Beast )
I'm looking forward to reading all the tips and tricks here from all of you !

Well, the guy I bought mine from was cause he was having trouble getting in/out of it so I picked it up before he could change his mind

Yep - the back makes it bit tough BUT I'll suffer through that minor hassle ! I'm really enjoying it and spent hours and hours today detailing it !

 

Congrats on the find...you got a great year. I was 51 when I bought mine new in 02, helps keep me young.
