New owner, 2002 Suzuka Blue
After a couple decades of motorcycling, I moved to a place that's full of mostly straight roads, so it's time to switch to something that will give me some thrills without making me feel like I'm wasting its time if I'm not carving curves. A friend once described the S2000 as a "four-wheeled motorcycle", so that's where I went. 2002 Suzuka Blue, purchased from a small dealer in New Philadelphia, OH. $11,200.
The car was apparently owned by someone looking to squeeze out as much performance as possible...the AC compressor is gone, there's an aftermarket header and exhaust system (requiring the battery to be relocated to the trunk to avoid cooking it from the header's heat, I presume), and the intake/air filter's aftermarket. Never having owned an S2000 before, I don't know what else the PO's done, but I picked up a factory service manual from Helm and will go from there. I'm pretty adept mechanically with motorcycles, but never did much with cars, so this'll be my inauguration. I bought the S as a fun toy; I've got another car for a daily driver, so there won't be any pressure if I need to tear into it.
I'm reading all the FAQ's, but I'll be posting questions, I'm sure. The cruise doesn't work (rocker switch lights, but no indication on the dash display), aftermarket radio is garbage (wouldn't mind going back to stock...does anyone know if the OE radio had an AUX input?), and the exhaust note is downright antisocial. Not having AC is pretty lousy on those 90F days in traffic, so that might have to be put back in again.
Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the reply, mate. I just purchased this one from Amazon as a replacement: Sony CDXGT270MP. Hopefully the PO didn't butcher the harness too badly. I haven't been in there yet.
Funny how that works, VFR2S2K....one of my bikes IS a VFR! I suppose it should be no surprise...VFR owners have a lot of class and exceptionally good taste.
