Post New owner: 2005 S2000

Just bought it today!

It's a 2005 Honda S2000 with 28,000 miles. Sebring Silver with black leather. Paid $20995 for it, Honda Certified Pre-Owned. Mint condition. Brand new RE050 tires front/rear, new brakes, no accidents, no visible wear on the leather. I think it might have aftermarket speakers (I see a blue cone through the grille on the door).

The car I traded in is next to it...2007 MazdaSpeed3.

Before that I had a 1999 Acura Integra GS-R, so I am no stranger to Hondas.

My plans...keep it running for a long time and enjoy it. I dumped too much money into previous cars' modifications and I've outgrown that. Probably swap the head unit, install wheel locks, and possibly a short-ram intake. I like the car as-is so I don't really see any need to do very much.

I'm excited to be a part of your site.

Nice deal bro, you picked up a hot one. About the mods, I rather prefer stock air intake, trust me, take out the air box cover and it sounds pretty mean (close to an AEM v2 air intake). Enjoy your s2000.

Removing the airbox cover may make the intake sound meaner, but you will lose performance since the intake is sucking in hot air around the engine.

You also lose the pressurization effect of the stock airbox, which helps draw in more air.

We'll see though, it sounds pretty mean in stock form. Maybe a Comptech Icebox, if I can find one.

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome. Get out and enjoy it as much as you can... winter is just around the corner You are going to store it for winter, aren't you? Come on over to the Upper Mid West Forum (UMW), those Chicago folks have quite an active group. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?act=SF&f=31

Congrats. I saw your thread over at the mazda forums. I was actually considering trading my S for an '07 MS3. I thought about it over the week end and I just don't think I can do it. The room would be nice but the S is just SO fun. Hope you enojoy your's, they're completely different animals.
