Hello all:
I am a new S2000 owner (5/2/06) in Laguna Blue. I can't find any info on the top speed of this vehicle. Does anyone know theoretical limit? By the way, this is an incredible driver. Exceeds my expectations. I heard stories of like "no torque below 6000 rpm" but I think this car pulls vvery well at 3000. Glad to be a anew ower.
Cheers

Congrats, JT. Wait until you break in the engine. Then, when you put the car into VTEC, you'll know what folks are talking about. It's addictive.

Yeah, somewhere in the neighborhood of 140 - 145. I've never been close.

FYI, the S speedometer has been measured inaccurate at high speeds vs. a radar gun. I don't think you're getting to 150 in an S, though it might tell you so, or unless you've got a 50 MPH tailwind.

Well...
I've recently had a colleague of mine with his gps route planner in the passenger seat and up to 100 km/h (62,5 m/h) it was very accurate.

A Dutch S2000 brouchure states a top speed of 240 mh/h (150 m/h) so reaching that is possible.
A while back I had up to 257 km/h in Germany.
That would meen it would have been 6,6% off if it really reached 240 km/h.
(note that it was 0% off at 100 km/h)

Anyway..
Its not about top speed.
Its about getting there

Have FUN driving your S2000!
