Talking New owner

Wow, there are a lot of new owners. Must be the weather

Anyway, after wanting one for the last decade, I finally pulled the trigger on a well-kept '01 this week. I'm going to be lurking around the site for the next little bit as I try to figure out how to replace the top - it's got the standard "pinch point" wear that will necessitate replacement this year. Other than that, she's everything I always hoped for

I know, huh? I just wish I could get a license plate for it today, as it's 76 and sunny!

Also, my S came with a non-stock radio and the controls don't work, which is a big . I need suggestions on a good replacement - I don't especially want to splice something inline, so is there an aftermarket unit that works with the controls out-of-the-box?

Check in the electronics section, someone there should be able to help.

Welcome to s2ki...

There is the Modfry adapter that allows the dash controls to work with certain aftermarket head units...you can find the details in the electronics section as NNY S2K mentioned.

Welcome

Replacing the top isn't too bad. You might be able to buy a used one on this site and have someone in your regional community help you with an install if you can find someone that has done it before local to you.
