New owner from California
Posting my brother's newly acquired S2k. Its got an unknown widebody kit, with aftermarket wheels and a carbon fiber hood. Has 170k miles on it and is in fairly good condition. The paint is good but has many signs of wear at certain locations. Also another thing he said is that he is currently experiencing is that the car vibrates under hard acceleration and makes a clunk/ rubbing noise from the rear when turning left. The car also feels like it is going to stall/rpm drop when approaching a stop with the ac on. Other than this things the car drives good and feels like it should. Some general maintenance might be necessary. Do you guys think he got a good deal on the car? He paid 9k for it??

Hello and welcome! I'm sure you'll find the information you're looking for on this site in regards to the maintenance the vehicle needs.
It looks like that might be a 00 or 01? If so, with those miles, mods, uncertain maintenance history, $9k might be a bit on the high end. Then again, I'm not too familiar with the going rates of the S2 on the West Coast.

Welcome! Sounds like it needs the CV cups swapped, rear axle nuts retorqued, and a map whack + zip tie and IACV cleaning. Additionally, see Some Things a New Owner Should Do for Their S2000.
