Default New Owner in Dallas

Hey everyone!

After a few years of lurking and a lot of test drives, two weeks ago I finally took the plunge! I am a medical student here in Dallas at UTSW, also recently married, and I'd been saving since high school. With my wife's job and the finances in order, we started looking very seriously about three months ago. We found a stock gem in San Antonio with very low miles, and one of my buddies and I drove down there, took it for a drive, asked all the questions and checked out everything on the car as per the recommendations of this great forum, and were smitten. The previous owner was a great guy who had an even more fantastically clean garage, which made me feel great. So far, we've taken a couple of little road trips out of Dallas, and I'm totally loving the car! That gear change is probably my favorite aspect of the experience, and the wind in the hair can't be beat. We went out to Cars and Coffee up here this past weekend, but since it was late notice and we had painting to do at the house, it was a short visit. I didn't have a chance to meet any of the other S2000 folks, but there was a huge turnout and I'm looking forward to next month! Thanks for all of the great advice, and I can't wait to meet some of y'all and put many more miles on the car!

Regards,
Kyle

Here's the new car parked in the spectator parking at C&C next to a new Boxster, which is not a bad looking update!

Welcome Kyle,

Come on by the North Texas forums and introduce yourself. You missed an excellent C&C, we had over 30 S2000 in attendance. Hope to see you in the near future!

Thanks guys! I'm really enjoying it. I do have a question though. Is there any specificity or part number specific to the aluminum crush washer used with the oil drain plug? And if not, what size is it? I've been searching for that info, and probably just missing it.
